Our friend and fellow CrossFitter Kathryn Leibfried is collecting books to be donated in memory of Baby Mason.
A Note from Kathryn
As many of you already know, Baby Mason lost his battle with leukemia yesterday. Although I do not personally know the Silva family, Baby Mason became close to my heart because he and Elliot were very close age. In the wake of his passing, I feel compelled to do something to honor his short life. I would like to gather 388 books, one to represent each day of Mason’s life, and donate them to the Reach Out and Read program run by Boston Children’s Hospital where Mason spent so much of his time. The Reach Out and Read program, which accepts both new and gently used books, gives a book to each child, ages 6 months to 5 years, at their well child visit. I plan to put the sticker you see above in each of these 388 books so Mason will continue to be remembered. I would greatly appreciate any help to reach this goal and honor this precious child’s life
We will have a collection box out all week.
Please consider bringing in a book for a great cause!
