Endurance and Beginner Running Program Info Meeting

Think you might enjoy the endurance program but not sure what it is about?

Do you cringe when you see running in a WOD? Is running uncomfortable or actually painful? Do you have trouble regulating your breathing? Do you want to run a 5k but don’t think you can or don’t know where to start?

We are holding an info meeting on Saturday, 7:30am and 10am (same meeting two times for those who like to sleep) to explain the endurance program and to see if there is interest in a beginner running group, no experience necessary.

The beginner program is for you if you are looking for:

Basics of proper running technique
Running focused mobility
Motivation and support of other beginners
Provide a doable training program to get you to your 1st 5k

For the Beginner Group, based on interest we are looking at meeting once a week for skills, drills and a SHORT run. The program will run for 8-10 weeks. At the end, the group will participate in the Nate B Fundraiser 5k on June 30th.

STRENGTH:

3 rounds

8-10 reps Good Mornings

10 reps Handstand Pushup or Pike Pushups (full range of motion)

CONDITIONING:

5 rounds

20 KB Swings

40 Double Unders
