SUPPORT CFFP MEMBER ALI

Black Diamonds_Kulea Concert Poster

It’s Ali,

Two years ago my family and I went to a fund raising event to support Kulea Childcare Villages, a Christ centered mission working to rescue and raise orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania and Kenya, Africa. That evening we learned about their service trips and saw the transformation (through pictures) of children that were rescued from poverty and death. That same night we began sponsoring a little girl named Habiba whose mother had recently died. She was left with a grandmother who was unable to care for her having too many other children already. Kulea placed Habiba in a Christ centered home with 11 other rescued orphans, and with a family who deeply loves her.

Ever since then, my mother and I have felt a call on our hearts to go to Chilnize Tanzania and become a part of this mission family working to build a village to reach out to many more children and women who are vulnerable, hungry and in desperate need a safe place to call home. Kulea’s goal is to rescue orphans in Kenya and Tanzania, place them in loving homes and raise them in a sustainable christ centered village setting with an excellent education and healthcare.

This August, my mom and I have the oppurtunity to go to Tanzania to meet our little Habiba and serve with other members of our team by helping to raise the roof of the church, the first building to be built in the village, help out with Vacation Bible School, take donations to the local medical clinic and government school and share the love of Christ with the children.

If you would consider joining us in prayer, and/or a financial contribution, that would move us one step closer to being able to go and serve those in Africa for God’s glory. We ask for your prayers as we embark on this journey of faith and follow this call to “look after the widow and the orphans in their distress.” (James) We hope to soon be sharing with you the fruits of our labor and the joy of our hearts in God’s glory seen through the smiling faces and joyful hearts of both those we are traveling with and those we meet on this trip.

Sincerely,

Alison Dunfee
